Hakka-Life 客器客氣 is a pottery studio from Taiwan founded in 2013. They mainly produce ceramic tea sets and coffee drippers and cups, "To design practical living wares from small details in daily life" is their design concept.
From the top view of this dripper, the ribs look like rays of a shinning star at night, and that is also the inspiration of the product name - Night Shine 夜曜濾杯. The rib of this dripper is also one of the features, 12 very sharp (I really mean it) ribs in total, 6 main and 6 supporting, the length of each rib is around half of the dripper's height (similar to KONO Classic). Main ribs are extended to the bottom so the filter will not stick to the wall, while support ribs are ended close to the bottom hole which provide more space to the bottom hole.
Base on the rib and bottom hole design, flow rate on bottom half of the dripper will be quite fast and when water level rise to the upper half (sealed part), flow rate will then slow down, while the over all flow rate is on the fast side and smooth even on the late stage of brewing. The flavours' contrast from fast and slow part of this dripper is interesting.
Fits with 01 size cone-shaped filter.
Note: The forming and colouring processes are done by hand, there are possibilities to have small defect on product, we appreciate your understanding.
