老岩泥 series is a special collaboration between Hario and Lin's Ceramic Studio, a Chinese tea equipment maker from Taiwan. And "老岩泥" is the name of a mixture of sandstone and pottery stone. Lin's Ceramic Studio uses this material on their teapots and teacups. Now with Hario, they use 老岩泥 as raw material of coffee dripper.
The structure of this dripper (e.g. number of ribs, open angle, and size of bottom hole) is almost the same as the regular ceramic V60, but the ribs on this dripper are sharper. If the ribs on ceramic V60 is "U", than the ribs on this dripper is "V".
