CT 62 Dripper series is a joint project by Jake Hu from Taster's Coffee and Jeff Shi from Dragonfly design studio; emphasize Jake's extraction theory on dripper's interior design and Jeff's own sense of art on exterior looking. Aiming to harmonized coffee science and Chinese culture.
On functional side, CT 62 dripper features a 12 long and 12 short grooves design. Long grooves run through the whole dripper from bottom to top, ensure the air path and short grooves are narrower and only stay in the middle part of dripper to help the flow rate in low water level. The circle groove at the bottom helps release the squeezing pressure to filter. The dripper also has unique 62 degree dripper's angle so the paper filter fits perfectly without any extra work. This helps to achieve the purpose of groove design. These features give CT 62 a constant and smooth flow rate.
For exterior side, CT 62's outer pattern take reference from "ShanWen Armor" that used in ancient China, Tang Dynasty. And the Year of Dragon special edition, DS 62 was inspired by dragon scale.
