As the product name advised, this paper filter has a silk-liked (no crepe) outer surface and the crepe only on inside. This design can let the outer surface of filter stick to the dripper wall closely and restrict the side flow; and the crepe on inside can trap the fine powder so the overall flow rate of this filter won't be too slow.
Based on my experience, KONO silky paper is around 20 seconds slower than regular KONO paper under the same condition, and resulted in a heavier body and concentrated flavours cup. You can feel the flow rate difference by seeing the rising water level; in other word, the immerse time will be longer by using this filter.
