Hakka-Life 客器客氣 is a pottery studio from Taiwan founded in 2013. They mainly produce ceramic tea sets and coffee drippers and cups, "To design practical living wares from small details in daily life" is their design concept.
The "Cosmos" here doesn't mean Universe, it is Cosmos flower, which is also the inspiration source of the dripper's shape. This dripper has 12 straight ribs that extend from bottom hole to the top. There are grooves between each two ribs on top and the ribs are getting closer at the bottom of dripper. So the hot air can flow smoothly within the dripper. Straight rib is usually leads to fast flow rate, so the designer set a smaller bottom hole for this dripper to balance. As the result, the overall flow rate on this dripper is still on the fast side and constant on high and lower water level.
